Instrument scheduling program
The web-based scheduling package (the “Faces Scheduling System”, (http://faces.ccrc.uga.edu) is used at our NMR Facility for scheduling (NMR time reservations) on the INOVA 600 MHz (room #113) and two 270 MHz JEOL (room # 422, Clark Hall) and room #456, CRL) NMR spectrometers.
Reservations can only be made by authorized users who are assigned a password by the administrator. This means that after you are trained, you will receive a temporary password via email. You can change your password after that. You do not need to install this software on your own computers.
Once you get a password, please go to the Faces web site: http://faces.ccrc.uga.edu
Then log in to your account (WVU) as your ‘name’ followed by your password (Fig. 1). You can delete your own reservations or send e-mail messages regarding specific reservations to other authorized users.

After logging in you will see a small window (Fig. 2). In this window click on ?choose a schedule?. This will bring up the instrument?s name (pull down menu).

If you want to run an experiment on a specific instrument, click on its name (Fig. 3). The reservation time is limited. You can reserve one block (20 min) during primetime. To reserve time, place the cursor on the time scheduling window and select only one slot (20 min). If you want get two blocks (40 min), just move the cursor down (do not click!) to a second slot. At this point click on this slot; it will prompt another window, in which written information about your time reservation can be seen.

If you have any questions with regards to the scheduling system please let me know or stop by in my office (#406).
Note: Depending on how many users will use the INOVA 600 MHz instrument, the reservation time will changed.
What is the Faces Scheduling System?
It is web-based scheduling service that makes it possible for authorized clients to reserve resources on a first-come, first-served basis. Faces Scheduling System software is designed to facilitate the scheduling of scientific instruments and other resources in a research environment, and serves as a web accessible sign-up sheet. It was developed by William York and Saeed Roushanzamir at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center at the University of Georgia (http://faces.ccrc.uga.edu/ccrcfaces/faq0.php4)
